What type of photography does Studio B Images specialize in?

We specialize in wedding and portrait photography. We also do shoots for bands and musicians for their C.D.'s and publicity. If you are a model and need photos for your portfolio, we do that too. Basically we shoot anything relating to "people photography"! 

What is Studio B Images general style of photography?

We have a very casual, relaxed style. Natural shots in an outdoor setting tend to capture more personality. However, we can also shoot in a more traditional style if needed. A studio is available for indoor shoots. 

What kind of payments does Studio B Images accept?

We take cash, checks, and credit cards. Most cards are accepted (MasterCard, Visa, Am-Ex, Discover...).

When will my photos be available?

The photos from your shoot are usually posted online in our password protected site within a week and a half. Rush service is available for a charge.

Does Studio B Images shoot digital or film?

We do both! We discuss the options before a photo shoot to find out what your needs are. Sometimes one might be better than the other depending on the desired outcome. Of course, the question always arises..."Which is better, film or digital?" It is an ongoing controversy in the photography industry. But with the latest technology, we can get a digital image of the same quality as a film image.

What if we have an outdoor shoot planned and the weather is bad?

Especially with the weather in Houston, it is always unpredictable! We reschedule shoots as needed. And no, we don't charge to reschedule due to weather. Sometimes if your schedule is tight, we might want to have an indoor location in mind for a backup plan.

Does Studio B Images offer gift certificates?

Of course! Photography is a great gift. Giving a family portrait sitting is a meaningful gift to parents, children or friends. We can help you design a package to suit your request and give you a printed certificate to give to the recipient.

What should we wear for the photo shoot?

For a sitting with two or more people, we like to think of it like you are dressing one person. For example, if one person wears a pattern (stripes, floral, etc.), then the other people should wear solid colors. Or everyone could wear jeans and solid shirts. Make sure the colors all blend together nicely. You don't have to wear identical clothing though! If you are doing a simple headshot, definitely wear a solid top. If you need an extremely professional look, wear a suit.

What is required to book a session with Studio B Images?

The sitting fee is to be paid before or on the day of the shoot. Then any reorders are to be paid for when placing an order.

What is required to book Studio B Images for my wedding?

The retainer for wedding photography is one third of the wedding package agreed upon. A contract between the couple and Studio B Images will be filled out and signed by both the client and Studio B. Then the balance is divided into two more payments. The last payment is due one month before the wedding date.

What type of albums does Studio B Images offer?

We offer many different albums. The albums range in size from 5"x5" up to 11"x14". We have some slightly more traditional albums and then we have the more contemporary flush mount magazine style albums. We also have different styles of parent albums to choose from.

Do you bring backup equipment to my wedding?

Always! We have many different camera set-ups that we bring to your wedding. We shoot with at least two different cameras for most of the wedding.

Who designs and lays out my wedding album?

You can be as involved in the layout of the album as you want. Some couples leave it up to us to choose the photos while others know exactly which page they want every photo on. For the magazine style albums, we come up with a layout and let the couple approve it before we have the pages printed. Depending on which album is chosen, either Studio B assembles the album or we have the album company do the binding for us.

Can you provide names of former clients for references?

Yes, we can give you many names and numbers of former clients. Many have told us that they would love to be used as a reference. Also, ask around on some of the local wedding chat boards and you are sure to find someone that has used Studio B Images!

Can I buy the negatives and/or Digital CD's from my wedding?

Yes. We can either include them with your wedding package or contact us anytime after your wedding and we will have them available.

How do my family and friends purchase photos from my wedding?

We use an online service to host your photos. That way we give you the link and a password and you can pass it out to whoever you want to see your photos. It works out great for the couple because you don't have to worry about passing around proofs to everyone. Your family and friends order directly through Studio B Images.
